US Money & Benefits, Explained — in plain Englishcontact@topicstalk.com

Editorial Policy

TopicsTalk exists to make US money and benefits news easy to check. This page explains how we source, correct and update everything we publish.

Our primary-source rule

Every figure, date and eligibility rule we publish comes from an official US government source, such as the Social Security Administration (SSA), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the US Department of Labor (DOL). Every article links to the official announcement on a .gov website so readers can verify the numbers for themselves. If we cannot confirm a figure from a primary source, we do not publish it.

Corrections policy

If we get something wrong, we fix it. When an article is corrected, we update it promptly and, where the change matters, note what changed. Readers can report errors by emailing contact@topicstalk.com — every report is checked against the official source.

Update policy

Government figures and program rules change over time. When an official announcement changes a number, date or rule covered in an article, we update the article to reflect the current official position and show the date of the most recent update.

AI-assistance disclosure

Articles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed against the official source before publication.
