A new report from cybersecurity firm Check Point Research has found that hackers are disguising Android malware as ChatGPT apps in order to trick users into downloading them. The malware, which is called “ChatGPT,” is a remote access trojan (RAT) that can give hackers complete control over an infected device.

If a user grants the apps these permissions, the hackers can then use the apps to track the user’s location, record their conversations, and steal their personal data. The hackers can also use the apps to remotely control the user’s device, which could allow them to steal sensitive information or even take control of the device.

Check Point Research has warned Android users to be on the lookout for ChatGPT apps. The company has also advised users to only download apps from official app stores, such as the Google Play Store.

Here are some tips for protecting yourself from Android malware:
