New Delhi: Get ready for a major employment boost! The government is all set to launch a brand new scheme called the “PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana” (PMVBRY) starting from August 1, 2025. This massive initiative aims to create a staggering 3.5 crore new jobs across the country over the next two years.This ambitious scheme, which has a budget of nearly Rs 1 lakh crore, is a huge step towards tackling unemployment and boosting economic growth. It’s designed to help both first-time employees and their employers.Here’s how it will work:For New Employees:If you’re just starting your career and have a salary of up to Rs 1 lakh per month, you’re in for a treat. Under this scheme, you will get a special incentive equal to one month’s salary (up to Rs 15,000) credited directly to your bank account. This will be given in two parts – the first after you complete six months in your new job, and the second after you complete one year, along with a financial literacy program.For Employers:The government is also giving a big thumbs-up to companies that create new jobs. Employers will receive an incentive of up to Rs 3,000 per month for every new employee they hire with a salary of up to Rs 1 lakh. This incentive will be provided for two years, and for the manufacturing sector, it will be extended for a total of four years. This is expected to encourage companies, especially in the manufacturing sector, to hire more people.The scheme will be in effect for all new jobs created between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027. It’s a key part of the government’s “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) vision and is expected to bring a wave of new opportunities for the youth of the country.
